ControlWave I/O Expansion Racks utilize an Ethernet communications engine that handles communications with the main processor. The process control application program resides in the main ControlWave process controller and addresses the I/o in the expansion rack. The system uses an Ethernet physical link and TCP/IP protocol. This allows the system to fit anywhere on a local or wide area network, thereby increasing flexibility and providing reliability at an economical price.
